Privacy
This site is the reader-facing home for Silas Mullins and Appalachian Secrets. It does not create customer accounts. When you choose to buy the complete edition, checkout and card handling take place on Stripe; this site never receives or stores your complete card number.
Analytics is optional
Before you choose, the site does not load Google Analytics, set analytics cookies, or send analytics requests. If you select Allow analytics, this site loads Google Analytics 4 and sends basic usage information about page and reading progress: page view, book view, free-sample link click, checkout-button click, 30-second visible engagement, and 50% or 90% scroll depth. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar pseudonymous identifiers. This site does not send your name, email, payment details, order identifier, or download link to Google Analytics.
Analytics is not needed to read the site, download the free sample, purchase, or retrieve the complete edition. No purchase-confirmation, signup, replay, advertising, or fingerprinting events are sent to Google Analytics.
What the measurement includes
- A normalized page path without query strings or fragments.
- The page title and the position of a free-sample link when that link is selected.
- The position of a checkout button when it is selected, plus the public product identifier, price and currency.
- Only validated YouTube campaign labels when they are present in the page address: source, medium, campaign, video ID, and one of three placements.
Raw query strings, full referrers, link destinations, names, message text, email addresses, and other personal data are not sent as event parameters. Browser settings, consent choices, and ad blockers can make the usage data incomplete.
Your choice
Select No thanks to keep analytics off. Use Privacy settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent disables future analytics events, removes the site’s analytics cookies where the browser permits, and does not restore or replay earlier browsing.
Orders and delivery
Stripe processes the payment and provides the checkout email address. The delivery service stores the minimum order state needed to verify payment, issue the private download, send the transactional delivery email, enforce its expiry/use limit, and process refunds or disputes. Resend delivers that transactional message. Order records are not sent to Google Analytics and are not used for marketing.
